About our Portal

Accessibility requirements

On the accessibility of the Portal and its contents, it should be noted here that the Project incorporates the horizontal and mandatory inclusion criterion of 'accessibility for people with disabilities ", i.e. the full implementation of Article 16 of the General Funds Regulation (Council Regulation (EC) No. 1083/2006 of 11 July 2006, establishing general provisions for the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund and the repealing Regulation (EC) No. 1260/1999). Specifically, the ability and ease of access, either physical or electronic, for various categories of disabled people is one of the mandatory criteria required by the Project to be considered during the various implementation phases.

Thus, like all results of the project, the Portal is accessible to people with disabilities. Specifically, the technical specifications of the Portal are in full harmony with the international best practices and specifically with the new version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) to the maximum level of compliance (Level AAA).

Here it is worth noting that if a website complies with said guidelines at level "AAA", this ensures the absence of significant obstacles that may limit or cancel the access of certain categories of disabled users. However the presence of special solutions and aids is not guaranteed which would facilitate access for all categories of disabled users.

Thus, further actions are required for the significant improvement of accessibility and ease of use for persons with disability (e.g. customization - flexibility of user interface).
